An intensive course aimed for students in biology and others who want update in cladistics. We are proud to present lectures at the cutting edge of the field given by Steve Farris, Arnold Kluge, Mari Källersjö, Diana Lipscomb, Kevin Nixon, Mark Siddall, John Wenzel and Ward Wheeler. From the very basics to the most advanced issues. A rare oppurtunity on this side of the Atlantic.
In order to get most out of the lectures recommended pre-course reading are for example:
Lipscomb, D. 1998. Basics of cladistic analysis
Wiley, E.O. et al. 1991. Compleat Cladist (however, skip the pages 25-31 and read instead Nixon, K.C. & Carpenter, J.M. 1993. On outgroups. Cladistics 9: 413-426.)
Kitching, I.J. et al. 1998. Cladistics: The theory and practise of parsimony analysis.
